Talking about the Unmentionable

Let’s talk a bit today about something most people would deem “unmentionable.” Bowel movements. That’s right, we’re going to talk about what goes on in the bathroom and dispel some myths about something very normal and natural, but that’s deemed unseemly, disgusting, or at the very least “unmentionable” by most people. Here at Revitalive, I’d guess you’d have to say that is certainly isn’t unmentionable. In fact, it’s a good topic for conversation!

In all seriousness though, how often do you think you should be going to the bathroom? Most people think that if they have a bowel movement every few days, that’s fine. In truth, our bodies are functioning optimally when we have two to three bowel movements a day!

What about quality of bowel movements? Are you straining and pushing out pea shaped objects, or is it normal, natural, and easy?  If it’s anything but normal, natural and easy, chances are something is amiss in there…and you might benefit from colon cleansing.

Contrary to popular belief, colon cleansing does not create dependence upon irrigation, enemas or other manual methods to return to normal bowel movements. Instead, colon hydrotherapy removes impacted matter and stimulates the bowel to function normally instead.

If you’re going less than once a day….if it hurts like heck…and if your bowel movements could be mistaken for a rabbit’s, please find a good colon hydro therapist soon. Ann Wigmore, one of godmothers of the holistic health movement, believed that all dis-ease begins in the colon. Think about it for a second.  If the colon is supposed to be releasing and eliminating toxins and waste material, and it’s not functioning properly, all that waste is backing up…and the wonderful colon, which does its job no matter how many obstacles we throw at it, reabsorbs some of those toxins. So please, do your body a favor…love your colon. If you’re having problems, seek a good colon hydrotherapist.  And if you’re shy about it, come on down to Revitalive or give us a call to talk about it.  We’ll share what we know and hopefully dispel some of those myths. Call us the myth busters of colon health!
